Common Applications

Composite scale inhibitors are used in recirculating water systems where chemistry is complex:

  • Cooling Towers (HVAC & Industrial): To prevent scale on heat exchangers while controlling corrosion in piping.
  • Boilers (Low to Medium Pressure): To prevent carryover and scale formation on heat transfer surfaces.
  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) Systems: Antiscalants (which are highly specialized composites) prevent membrane fouling without causing precipitation.
  • Oil & Gas Production: Used in downhole injections to prevent the co-precipitation of barium sulfate (barite) and calcium carbonate in wellbores and flowlines.
  • Geothermal & District Heating: To protect closed-loop systems from both corrosion and mineralization.
Safety Protection
This product is acidic and should be kept away from skin and eyes. Use appropriate personal protective equipment during handling. In case of skin contact, rinse thoroughly with water. For eye contact, immediately flush with plenty of water and seek medical attention. If ingested, rinse mouth and seek immediate medical care. Under normal conditions, this product has low environmental impact with minimal toxicity to aquatic organisms and good biodegradability.
Packaging and Storage
Available in 25kg or 200kg plastic drums. Store in a cool, dry location. Shelf life: ten months.
Removal Effectiveness
Post-sand filtration analysis demonstrates the potassium permanganate composite agent's effectiveness in removing trace organic compounds from water. Testing detected 95 different trace organic compounds, with removal rates of 44.8% by type and 38.7% by content.

The potassium permanganate composite agent demonstrates strong removal capabilities for harmful organic substances, with particularly high efficiency against benzene derivatives, nitrobenzene compounds, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, and halogenated hydrocarbons. While heterocyclic organic compound type removal is moderate, content reduction remains significant.
